Alice Rose Bouchard passed away peacefully on Sunday, 20 July 2025 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 82.

Alice is survived by her sister Florence (Earl), her brother Henry (Lorraine), her sister Rose (Leo) and Sr. Yvette S.G.M.; her sisters-in-law Lou (Leo), Corinne (Leon), Therese (Ernest); brother-in-law Bob Levasseur (Annette), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, Leonidas and Marianne Bouchard; her sisters Cecile, Sr. Rose (Eva) S.G.M., Sr. Yvonne S.G.M., Rita, Annette, and Marie; her brothers Wilfred, Emil, Ernest, Leon, Alphonse, Leo, and Joseph; her sisters-in-law Simone (Wilfred), Lorraine (Henry), Mabel (Emil); brothers-in-law Alex Delaurier (Cecile), Earl Yack (Florence) and Leo Coombs (Rose).

Alice was born in St. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, and from the very start, her life was guided by a deep devotion to family and faith. With a heart full of compassion, she served as a social worker across Montreal (P.Q.), Milwaukee (Wisconsin), Alberta, and British Columbia—always seeking to uplift the lives of those in need.

In retirement, Alice embraced every moment with grace and joy. She travelled widely, expressed her creativity through crafts and painting, and poured herself into meaningful volunteer work—offering kindness and companionship to the poor and elderly. Her spiritual life flourished through prayer groups and unwavering commitment to pro-life advocacy.

Alice’s wished to convey her deep gratitude to the Oblate Sisters, the dedicated staff, and the residents of Villa Aulneau, whose support meant so much to her. A heartfelt thank-you to the Grey Nuns at Residence Despins for generously opening their chapel for Alice’s funeral. Special thanks to Father Armand Le Gal for his comforting presence and thoughtful officiation.

Alice’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the communities she served, and the love she shared so generously.

Funeral service will be held on August 2, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Residence Despins, 151 Despins Street, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow at a later date.
