Amelia Kwast

June 16, 1911 – July 12, 2013

Peacefully on JuIy 12, 2013, Amelia Kwast passed away at Donwood Personal Care Home.

Amelia is survived by her daughter Marion (Carl) Biebrich, son Garry (Simone) Kwast and daughter Joyce (Don) Gilchrist. She is also survived by her grandchildren Rod (Janice) Biebrich, Debbie Stewart, Brian (Cynthia) Biebrich, Kari (Victor) Rettenbacher, Cindi Pillay, Theresa (Dan) Milburn, and Nicole (Kevin) McCormick, 13 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and her extended family. Sisters Esther Hoffman, Dorothy Schnell, Alice Pomrenke, and brother Gordon Schwab.

She was predeceased by a son Boyd in infancy, her grandson Cal, brothers Ed, Reinhold and Henry Schwab, sisters Lena Hamilton, Martha Podjan, Dinah Friesen, Ruth Schnell and Eleanor Stag and her parents Conrad and Amelia Schwab.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway in Winnipeg.

The family would like to thank the staff of 2 North at Donwood Personal Care Home for the care and compassion shown to our Mom over the past 8 years.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Donwood Personal Care Horne or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

You can shed tears that she is gone,

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,

or you can open your eyes to see all she has left,

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,

or you can be full of the love that you shared.
