Remembered with Love

It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Angela Marino on April 30, 2021 at the age of 75.

Angela will be sadly missed be her three sons Antonio, Gianfranco and Giuseppe (Kristen); siblings Annamaria, Tommaso (Anna Maria), Mario (Antonietta), and sister-in-law Franca Marino; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugenio; parents Giuseppe and Agata; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Angela was born in Cellara, Cosenza, Italy on June 2, 1945. On September 21, 1968, she married Eugenio. They moved to Canada and started their new lives together. Shortly after they had their three sons. Sadly, in 1985, her husband Eugenio passed away. Mom loved her walks, going to St. Ignatius Church every day, and enjoyed talking to her neighbours and friends. One of her greatest joys was when her youngest son got married and she gained a daughter-in-law Kristen. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Riposa in Pace Ma. We love you, Tony, Gianfranco and Gio.

The family wishes to thank the First Aid Responders that tried all that they could, and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital.

A private funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Church. For those who wish to attend virtually, please see St. Ignatius website and click on mass.

Donations in memory of Angela may be made to the Epilepsy and Seizure Association of Manitoba or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

Angela was my godmother. She was utterly selfless and kind. Every time I saw her, she lit up and treated me like a daughter. She always gave me gifts in spades, her generosity meant so much to me. But of course, it was her kind heart that made the biggest impact on me. She was a rare and special person and I will miss her deeply.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Angela's death. I always enjoyed our chats and she was so kind to our granddaughter. Our neighbourhood will miss seeing Angela's friendly face as she passed on her daily walks.
May memories of happier times bring peace to her family as they grieve.
