On September 28th, 2019, Austin passed suddenly in his sleep, at the young age of 16.
Austin is the light of and life of his Mom and Dad, Jacqueline and Mike Desrochers. His laughter, his strength, his absolute joy kept his parents going, everyday.
While Austin faced many obstacles and challenges, nothing stopped him from enjoying every experience. From zip-lining over alligators in Florida to swimming in the Pacific ocean, he did it all! His expressive blue eyes, and his contagious belly laugh ensured you knew he loved it, and that he loved you.
Austin has left a hole in our hearts that can’t be filled - but also a lifetime of memories to keep us all laughing.
He is missed by Jacquie and Mike - (his Mom and Dad), Aunts Tracy and Marie (Carlos), Cousins Braeden (Loan), Aaron (Emma), Camryn, Dan and Daerion. Ryan, who has become family, along with many people at River East Collegiate, SSCY Centre and extended family and friends have always surrounded him with love. We know Austin is safe now, in the arms of his Granny and Grandpa, Mary and Ian MacPhee.
Grandparents Pauline and Ray Desrochers, Uncles Bob (Joyce), Rick (Riqui) and Aunt Monique. Cousins Nicole, Bradley, Connor and Tyler.
Austin's life was celebrated on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 2 p.m., at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, Life Program. We thank everyone associated with this program for the care and love Austin has experienced.
