It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bindra “Bindy” Tiwari on August 11, 2020 at Seven Oaks Hospital.
Bindy was predeceased by his brother, Rudy as well as his father, Rama.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Isabelle; children, Amanda, Andrea and Jonathan as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bindra was born in Trinidad on May 7, 1956 to Isabelle & Rama Tiwari. He was educated at St. Mary's College Prep School for boys before immigrating to Canada in Dec.17,1967. Bindy Attended Laura Secord, Gordon Bell High School and the University of Winnipeg. He was confirmed at Westminster United Church and has been a member since 1968.
He worked at Dominion stores before returning to Trinidad to help his Uncle Garnet Moller manage a Pizza Castle Restaurant in Arima. He returned to Canada in 1987 and shortly after started Bindy’s Caribbean Delights which is still in operation today.
