With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Brian Joseph DeLaronde, who passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on June 18, 2026. While our sorrow is profound, we find comfort in knowing that Brian is now free from pain and resting peacefully.

Left to cherish Brian's memory are his beloved wife, Sharon Pelletier, and their blended family: Tania Pelletier, her partner Bobby and their family; Lance Fontaine and his family; Marlene DeLaronde, her partner Greg and their family; Chris Rundle, his partner Shelly and their family; and Holly Rundle and her family. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives, and the many friends whose lives he touched.

Brian was predeceased by his mother Bertha and stepdad John Guiboche Sr.; his parents-in-law, Catherine and Henry Hall; his stepchildren, Steven Pelletier and partner Charity Beauchamp, and Kenneth Pelletier; as well as many cherished relatives and friends who welcomed him home.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Demery, Jonathan Guiboche, Forrest Demery, Craig Guiboche, Lance Fontaine, Chris Rundle, Shane DeLaronde, Billy Cochrane and Ron Normand. Honorary pallbearers include Brian’s brother Paul, all of his nephews, grandsons, great-grandsons and all of his friends and family who could not be here to say their farewells in person.

Brian's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff of the Medical, Cardiac, and Intensive Care Units at St. Boniface Hospital, as well as the team at the IH Asper Clinical Research Institute, for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they showed Brian during his final months.

The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Aboriginal Health and Wellness Centre of Winnipeg for the compassionate care and unwavering support they provided to Brian over the past several years. Their kindness allowed him to feel genuinely cared for, and for that, we will always be grateful.

Special thanks to all of those who visited Brian and kept him company during his stay in hospital, it meant a lot to him.

Brian will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, the friendships he treasured, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
