Brian leaves to cherish his memory – daughters Caryl (Kirk) Long: Corrine (Al) Pringle and grandson Justin; son Darren Long; sister June (Phil) LeBrun; brother Bill (Marge) Long; as well as many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Arleen (nee Bjarnason) and parents Archie and Margaret Long; brother Hugh Long.
Brian was a loving husband, great father and a wonderful grandfather. His family and friends meant everything to him. His favourite times were spent camping at Spruce Sands, and also watching his grandson, Justin, play hockey. Many hours were also spent keeping in touch with friends and just relaxing with his loyal canine companion, Buddy.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Brian’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday January 13th, at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg.
The family wishes to thank all the caregivers from Home Instead for their care and compassion through this difficult time.
