After a short illness and hospitalization, Carole has left us, too quickly, and much too soon.
She was born and raised in Winnipeg, spending her early adult years teaching in the St. James School Division.
On meeting her husband, Dr. Nick Unsworth, through a chance encounter via a mail misdelivery, a wonderful new phase of her life started.
They continued to live in Winnipeg, till larger cities called, when they moved to Toronto. There they had many new and good friends. Carole thoroughly enjoyed artistic events, and yearly indulging in the TIFF festival, among other such activities.
Eventually, they moved to her husband’s home country, England, where new friendships were formed, and interesting travel with these friends.
After her husband’s death in 2007, she stayed in England till 2013. Then, her Winnipeg roots drew her back, to friends she had stayed visiting and connected with all the years she was living away.
Unfortunately, during her adult life, she faced chronic and acute health issues, always brave, never complaining.
She will be missed.
