Chloe is survived by her parents Ryan and Tracy (Derksen); brother Adam and sister Kennedy; great-grandmother Nettie Peters; grandparents Harvey and Lynn Boyle, Wille and Marlene Derksen; aunts and uncles, Kevin, Teresa (Bryan), Heather, Marnie, and Julie (Scott); cousins Tatum, Brooke, Izabella, Isaac, Jennifer, Connor, Jared and Claire. There is a large extended family of great aunts, uncles, second cousins and countless friends who are also left to mourn this heartbreaking loss.
Chloe was born July 31, 2003 in Grand Prairie, Alberta where she lived until she moved to St. Albert, Alberta in 2006 and then La Salle, Manitoba with her family in 2011. Chloe attended Grades 3 to 8 at La Salle School where it is rumoured she still holds the speed record for cup stacking. She currently was in Grade 12 at Sanford Collegiate. Even though she never wore dresses, she had already bought a beautiful graduation gown and was excited to wear it at her 2021 Graduation. She was planning her future and had just applied at Red River Collegiate.
Since Chloe was such a hard-working, helpful girl, she had already worked a few part time jobs doing summer lawn care, a courier driver and a cashier at Walmart.
Chloe was a beautiful young lady with the most wonderful smile and the best laugh ever. A fun-loving, free-spirited, unique, confident young woman who was not easily influenced by social norms. The large circle of friends from every area of her life, school, work, teammates all describe her as an amazing friend and always making them laugh. Chloe was the friend you needed to have.
Her easygoing nature had her enjoying most of her childhood activities like mini soccer, CrossFIT Cubs, but her real passion was for basketball and she played on both high school and club teams.
Starting at a very young age the talented artist in Chloe was obvious as she loved doing crafts and projects. As she grew older, her creativity evolved into more sketching, drawing, complicated paint by numbers and painting graffiti. It’s hard to find legal places to practice your graffiti but the inside of your parents garage door works.
Her other hobbies are a reflection of her desire to help out, be involved, and be with family. She helped build the deck at her house, the barn wood wall at Nana and Papa’s, the deck at Grandma and Grandpa’s and so many more projects. So many people can say, “Chloe helped with this.” Her interests in recent years included cars, mechanical repairs, refinishing and rebuilding.
With so many cousins around the same age, the bond between her and them was strong. Seadooing, wake-surfing, fishing, and all other lake life fun with Tatum and Brooke. Summer barbecue fun with Jared, Claire, Jennifer and Connor. Crafting with Izabella and Isaac.
Chloe and Adam spent time together often watching Modern Family or the next binge-worthy show. We think Chloe might have watched all of Netflix! When not hanging with her brother Chloe would go cruising with Kennedy on a Starbucks or Don’s run.
Mom and Dad used to say we have a King and two Queens in our family. We now have a King, an Angel and Queen.
Clover, Chlobo 2003, Tornado, we are going to miss you forever.
A private family viewing took place Thursday, December 3, 2020. Cremation will take place and Chloe will be brought home with her family. A celebration of life will be planned as soon as we are allowed to do so.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship for a 2021 Graduate from Sanford Collegiate in Chloe’s memory has been created. Donations can be made to: Red River Valley School Division: Chloe Boyle Scholarship, Box 400, Morris, Manitoba ROG IKO
