It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Christopher Britton on November 28, 2025 at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chris will always be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife, Cheryl; children, Tony and Nicholas; his father Ron Britton; his sister, Tina (Greg) Smith and extended family, mother-in-law/father-in-law, Marlene and Ted Rose and extended family; uncle/aunt, Rick and Marlene Britton and extended family and so many friends.
Chris was predeceased by his loving mother, Dorothy Britton.
Chris and his family lived all over the globe when he was young but found their forever home back in the early 70s in Sanford, Manitoba. Chris loved his community and made so many lifelong friendships. It was not a hard decision to make where we would live and raise our two boys…it was always Sanford! Chris had many favourites growing up like playing sports, rocking out with the boys in the band, but I think it is safe to say that his lifetime love of hot wheels evolved into his favorite pastime as an adult of building/fixing and riding in his 52 Chevy pickup named “George”. You could always hear him coming. Chris worked his whole career in the print industry where he was lucky enough to meet so many amazing people.
Chris lived his life with focus on fun and laughter. He has made endless joyous and hysterical memories for his family and friends. Chris will also be remembered by many as a natural at putting people at ease with his warmth and caring nature. He was a champion when it came to helping and supporting his parents and extended family members.
The boys and I feel so blessed to have had Chris in our lives. He was the best father and husband we could ask for. The lessons he taught, and all the amazing memories made on family vacations, milestone celebrations or just in the conversation around the bonfire will last a lifetime.
The family extend profound gratitude to all of our dear friends for their support and friendship.
At Chris’s request, no service will be held.
Because of Chris’s love of his family dogs, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local pet rescue or to your favourite charity.
