Darren Gerard Herbert Sampson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Darren Sampson, who passed away on August 16, 2026, at Grace Memorial Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 61.

He was a dearly loved son of the late Gerry and Phyllis Sampson, a cherished brother to Sherri-Wynne Sampson, Duane Sampson and his wife Ingrid, and a much-loved uncle to Olivia, Yusenia and Anjelina Sampson. He was a special part of our family, and his presence brought love, laughter, and memories that we will carry with us always.

His love of music was a defining part of who he was, and his remarkable musical talent was truly a gift. He had a wonderful sense of humour that could bring laughter and light to those around him, and he was a caring and generous person who was always willing to give of himself and help others whenever he could. These qualities made him deeply loved and will be among the many things we remember and treasure about him.

He will be remembered not only for who he was, but for the place he held in each of our hearts. His life touched those around him in ways that will never be forgotten. Though we are heartbroken by his passing, we are grateful for the time we shared with him and for the many memories that will remain with us forever.

A small, private family service will be held on Monday August 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to honour his life and allow those closest to him to come together, share memories, celebrate the life he lived and say goodbye.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts. His music, his laughter, his kindness, and his generous spirit will live on in all of us who had the privilege of loving him.

May he rest peacefully, and may his memory always be a blessing.
