
David was born in Rossburn, Man. In July, 1934. He worked most of his years with Manitoba Pool Elevators. During the lean years for the company, he commercial fished on Lake Manitoba. He spent 18 months mining in Thompson until her returned in the spring of ’63. He married Loraine that year, and their son Leigh, was born in 1972. He spent the rest of his years on the road for Pool Elevators until four years ago when he became warehouse foreman.
He was predeceased by his mother Lillian and his father Peter. He is survived by his wife Loraine; son Leigh and brother Melvin; as well as cousins. He will be sadly missed by his friends and co-workers, and his special boys down on the corner. He loved his home and spent many hours working on it.
His wife wished to thank the nurses on SN, Cornish 2 and Cornish 5. Special thanks to the special nurses in Oncology, to Dr. Lezak and Dr. Burke; a special thanks to Sister M. Anna Plamonda for her prayer and support.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. at KLASSEN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Rev. Gordon Fulford officiating.
Flowers gratefully declined. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Oncology Department of the Misericordia Hospital, 99 Cornish Ave., or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
