Dora Maureen Walker

Maureen will be forever missed by her daughter Linnet (Ron), son Corey (Michelle), grandchildren Benjamin and Kaela and stepchildren Joanna, Anthony and Matthew. Maureen was predeceased by her husband Bill and both parents Adolph and Elizabeth. Maureen is survived by her brother David and numerous nieces and nephews

Maureen was born in 1930 in Winnipeg where she was raised. Maureen married Bill in 1958 and shortly after moved to Red Rock Ontario. In 1961 Maureen and Bill returned to Winnipeg where Maureen worked for a variety of companies, the longest being Eaton’s where she held a variety of positions. Upon retirement Maureen volunteered for the White Cross Guild at the Health Science Centre for 18 years.

Maureen greatest passions were her grandchildren and her beloved dogs.

In Jan 1952 Maureen joined the Air Force Auxiliary Fighter Control Operator Group were she held the rank of Air Women First Class. Maureen served continuously for one year and five months.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at Riverview Health Center, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
