Peacefully at Portage la Prairie Hospital, Doris passed away with family by her side.
She will be missed by her two children – Iris Pattie (Frank) and Tom; grandchildren Jeff Pattie and Tanis Yanchishyn (Brad); great grandchildren Matthew and Sarah Pattie and Kait and Brooke Yanchishyn. Doris is also survived by her brother Raymond Blair; sisters – Lyla Downey, Inez Goyeau, Doreen Jardeen, Dorothy Johnson and Mildred McManus. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Robertson, parents Emil and Selena Blair; brothers Armand and Cecil Blair; sisters Florence Dunwoody and Elsie Johnson.
Doris was a kind, gentle lady who loved music and the outdoors. She was born in Tyndall, moved to Winnipeg, married Walter and later retired to Lake Cowichan. After Walter died she moved to Portage la Prairie to be closer to family. For the past eight years she enjoyed spending every weekend with her son Tom.
We wish to sincerely thank the home care staff at Regency House and the staff at Portage District Hospital E.T.U. for their care and support.
At her request, cremation and a private family gathering have taken place.
