It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin (Ted) Graham Jagger, who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on June 29, 1944, Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ann (Parry) Jagger; his daughters, Elaine Angus (Jamie) and Janice Jagger; his cherished grandsons, Jack and Henry Angus; and his many nieces and nephews.
Ted was predeceased by his father, Edwin; his mother, Florence; his brother, Robert (Bob); and his sister, Eleanor.
Ted was a dedicated plumber and pipefitter and a proud member of Local 254 for over 60 years. He was known as “MacGyver” for his remarkable ability to fix just about anything. If something was broken, Ted could usually find a way to make it work again.
Outside of work, Ted enjoyed spending time at the cottage, exploring new places on his walks, playing cribbage, gardening, and taking on the many projects that kept him busy over the years. After retirement, he also enjoyed swimming at the gym and travelling with his wife, Ann, discovering new places together and experiencing new things along the way. Whether he was working with his hands, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with family, Ted found satisfaction in keeping busy and figuring things out.
Ted will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his determination, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of hard work, kindness, and generosity towards others. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care, kindness, and compassion they provided to Ted.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.
He will be forever loved and remembered.
