My sincere condolences to all of Eileen's family; she was indeed beautiful and caring - and a wonderful friend and nearby neighbour during the many years our family lived on Brock St. I especially recall the many happy times around the quilting table at St. Aidan's Church with Eileen and our mutual friends. Another fond memory is of walking, in the neighbourhood and sometimes further afield, and the shared delight in identifying birds. Eileen was also a very gracious and welcoming hostess - and a wonderful baker! Although I hadn't seen Eileen for some time, the memories always surfaced when I had a chance to chat with Brian, the last just a month or so ago; his mention of "mum" always with such affection.

I hope that all of the happy memories you have of your beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will sustain you in the days ahead.

Sincerely,
Maureen Tate
