Remembered With Love

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mamá, Elsa Fresia Vivanco age 87 yrs.

Friday morning May 30, 2025, her loving granddaughter Athena was by her side holding her hand when she peacefully passed.

Mamá was predeceased by both her parents, father Manuel, mother Hermogenita, brother David, sisters Celsa and Tegualda.

She leaves to mourn her two sons, Hernan (April), Rodrigo (Soozie) and stepson Luciano (Blanca), her grandchildren Wade, Candace (Matthew), Jesse (Natalie), Santiago, Athena, Luciano Jr., Patricio, and four great grandchildren, Olivia, Felix, London and Simon.

Mamá came to Canada from Chile in 1975 and made a new life for herself and her family.

She worked many jobs, but the one she was most proud of was at Boeing Canada where she worked as an Assembly Technician until retiring in 1999.

Mamá had a zest for life and lived it to its fullest going back and forth to Chile and travelling many places around the world.

She loved socializing with her many friends, especially best friends Nancy, Rosita, Mireya and Elaina.

Mamá loved the outdoors and was always up for camping, swimming, and sitting around the campfire having a few drinks.

Abuella made the best empanadas, hands down.

She loved music and sang in choirs, playing guitar and dancing.

For Mamá, the best time of all, was being at Blanca and Luciano's house with all the family enjoying food, music, laughter, and watching and playing with all the little ones.

Keep on singing and dancing Mamá.

We would like to express our most sincere gratitude and thanks to all the staff at the Grace Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Mamá. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Cremation has taken place and a private service was held.
