It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ena Sankar, beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and generous and kind friend.
Ena passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022. Ena is predeceased by her husband Roysie Sankar of 50 years.
She will be sadly missed by her children Sandra, Wayne (Terry), and Cherrie (Shameer), her grandchildren, Rashad, Kassandra, Sabrina, Rianna and her great-granddaughter Aaliyah. She is survived by her sisters Doreen and Jean.
Ena was born in Trinidad on July 23, 1945. She moved to Winnipeg with her family in 1975. Ena was employed at Health Sciences Centre for 20 years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Her courage, generosity, kindness and hospitality will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
