Thank you Lilly for all the compassionate care you have given Dad these last difficult years.
Ernie was born in Germany in 1915 and immigrated to Canada at the age of 13 and settled in Ochre River, Manitoba, and worked on the family farm. He worked at the Manitoba Sausage, then the Malgram Implements, & Allied Farm Equipment. He lived in Winnipeg, and he moved to his Lee River cottage at the age of 60 and worked at the mine, and built docks for many years.
He enjoyed going to his cottage with his family and friends; hunting; fishing; and family gatherings were very important to him.
He was very active at the Pioneer Club in Lac du Bonnet, until the age of 92. He was a skip in floor curling and also loved square dancing, or dancing of any kind. Ernie was a very gentle and “happy” man.
We would like to thank the staff at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home for their on going compassionate care. It was greatly appreciated.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations in Ernie’s name can be made to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home, PO Box 1030 Lac du Bonnet, MB R0E 1A0.
