Felice Ferriello

5 October, 19456 October, 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Father, Felice Ferriello, on October 6, 2020, at the age of 75.

Felice will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children Theresa (Fabrizio), Tony (Tanya), his grandchildren Joseph, Natalina, Jonathan, Martino and Matteo. His Partner Adriana and her Children. His Sister Adelina and Niece Daniela. His Brother Giovanni (Tina) and their Children Marco(Sabrina) and Maria Teresa (Italy), and Zio Giovanni (Anna)(Venezuela). As well as numerous family in Italy and Venezuela.

Felice was predeceased by his Wife Natalina, his Parents Antonio and Letizia, his Brother in law Tony, and Guerrino and his Nephew Michael.

Felice was born in Napoli, Italy on October 5, 1945. He was the oldest of 2 children born to Antonio and Teresa (Cortese, who died in 1948. Later Antonio remarried Letizia (Vassallo), who had Adelina. Throughout his childhood he loved the Mother who raised him, and helped the Family trade of tailoring. Felice would often spend many hours with his Dad and Nonno creating ‘fine clothing for men’. At the young age of 16, he moved to Germany, and later to Switzerland gaining employment with various clothing manufacturers’. In 1967 he met his beautiful Wife Natalina (DaRugna). They married in Lamon, Belluno (Italy) in 1969 and shortly after decided to embark on an adventure to Canada, where they settled in Winnipeg to start a Family of their own. With great sacrifice and determination Felice achieved his lifelong dream of owning and operating his own men’s clothing and tailoring business: UOMO Casuale. He took great pride and satisfaction in his work and his accomplishments.

Felice had a strong faith and was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Faith was a big part of his life and he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Felice was proud of his Napolitano culture and would sing and dance at any available opportunity. Those who knew him were blessed to get a taste of his passion for fun and entertainment.

In 1998, life changed dramatically with the passing of his wife Natalina. Although it was difficult to endure, life blessed Felice with a growing family when his daughter married Fabrizio and his son Tony married Tanya. He also met his partner Adriana and together they supported one another.

His 5 grandchildren were the joy of his life, making unique and special memories with each of them. From playing and watching soccer, to making wine and attending Sunday mass, each moment was extremely special to him.

Felice (my dad) lived by example. He was determined, driven and a very hard worker. He instilled these qualities in his Family and at his store UOMO Casuale.

Over the last 6 months, during my Dad’s illness, very few people had the opportunity to see him. Although he loved his friends and family, he was also a man of great pride. He wanted to be remembered as he was: a strong, well dressed and kind man.

Dear Dad/ Caro Papa

Life without you will never be the same. You were our rock and our comfort whenever we needed you. You taught us many life lessons, of which some we agreed and some others we didn’t, however we always worked through things and found a common ground. It will be really lonely without you, but you taught us well, and you’ll always be part of us. Riposa in Pace Papa! We love you.

Felice mancherà tristemente a tutti e sarà ricordato con affetto dai suoi Figli Theresa (Fabrizio), Tony (Tanya), i suoi Nipoti Joseph, Natalina, Jonathan, Martino e Matteo. Oltre a numerose famiglie in Italia e Venezuela.

Cantava e ballava in qualsiasi occasione.

Riposa in Pace Papa! Ti vogliamo tanto bene.

I am truly saddened to learn of Felice’s passing. I was a long time customer at UOMO, not only because of the clothes but also because of Felice’s warm and welcoming personality. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him.
Since learning of his illness, I am saddened each time I drive past his Corydon Ave. store. He is missed.

Felice was the very best at his craft. I was a long term client at UOMO Casuale, who enjoyed getting to know Felice and some of his family over many decades. I never shopped for clothing anywhere else.

We always had great conversations, about Europe and many other things. I am so very sorry to learn of his passing. I will miss him. My deepest condolences to Tony and all of Felice's family.
