

George Wiebe, 83, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on October 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with dementia.
George was born on March 10, 1942. He is survived by his wife Kaye Klassen-Wiebe, daughter Jennifer (Paul) Doerksen, son Nathan Wiebe, step-children, Barbara (Bryan) Zirk, Catherine (David) Kolochuk, Gordon (Van) Klassen, grandchildren Nicholas Doerksen, Noah Doerksen, Curtis Wiebe, step-grandchildren Jared (Vikki) Zirk, Cody (Jen) Klassen, Cooper (Kristin) Klassen, Tran Mai Hoang (Vince), Tran Mai Khue (Tini). He is also survived by brothers Albert, Henry, Helmut, Ed and Peter.
George was predeceased by his parents Heinrich and Lydia, his step mother Nettie, his first wife Lena, his grandson Ayden, and sister Annemarie.
George grew up in Paraguay and moved to Canada at the age of 15. He went on to enjoy a career as an Electrician in Winnipeg. Later on he moved to B.C. where he volunteered at The Gleaners, a charity that dehydrates fruit & vegetables to be distributed as soup in less prosperous areas of the world.
George & Kaye spent many years travelling around North America and around the Caribbean from their home base in Abbotsford, B.C. They have many memories of making amazing friends while traveling in their motorhome.
The family would like to thank the Management and Staff at Rivereast Personal Care Home for their care and support during the past few years.
A private interment will take place at a later date.
