Giuseppe Militano

Peacefully on September 11, 2010 at St. Boniface Hospital, Giuseppe (Joe) Militano passed away at the age of 73. He leaves to mourn his wife Shirley, his children Sandra (Peter) Caple and grandchildren Andrea and Erin, John (Jennifer) Militano and grandchildren Isabel, Sophie, and Ellie, his brother Rocco (Alfonsa) in Italy, his sisters-in-law Annunziata, Lina, and Domenica Militano, Linda (Ugo) Cesario, cousins Carmela (Vincenzo) Lanno, Francesco (Rosa) Militano, Angela Filleti, Judy Filleti, Rocco Filleti, Rosario (Maria) Larizza in Thunderbay, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Carmine and Rosa, brothers Giovanni, Nino, Domenico and wife Carmela, Carmine, sister Rosina and Husband Domenico Luppino, sister Angela and husband Michele Zirino, and cousins Nino and Giuseppe Filleti.

Giuseppi loved life. When asked how he was doing he would always say "I'm the greatest guy on earth". He loved gardening, raising fruit trees, and home improvement projects, engaging in these activities until the day of his passing.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the family in Winnipeg for watching out for him and caring for him when he returned here.

Service to be held Saturday at 10am at Holy Rosary Church.
