Harjinder Kaur Sondhu

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harjinder, age 86 years.

Harjinder is lovingly remembered by her husband Mohan, children; Ruby Bhullar (Raj Bhullar), Remy Pearson (late Mark Pearson), and Satinder Sondhu, grandchildren; Ashley Bhullar Rehsia (Sabeer Rehsia), Matthew Bhullar (Hailey Graham) and great-grandchildren Karan Rehsia and Kian Rehsia.

Harjinder is survived by her brother Mohinder Grewal (Hurbans Grewal), and nieces/nephews Mandeep Grewal, Mona Billing, Suri Grewal.

Harjinder was born in Duda Hoor, Punjab, India, married at the age of 16 and raised 3 daughters. In 1974, leaving her teaching career behind, Harjinder took the brave step of moving to Toronto, Canada, a country where she did not know the language or culture.

In 2023, Harjinder moved to Winnipeg to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by everyone who met her.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: August 14, 2026

10:00am to 12:00pm at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg.

1:00pm to 4:00pm at Antim Ardaas, Gurudwara Winnipeg South Sikh Centre, 1248 Wilkes Ave (Sikh Centre Way), Winnipeg.

A Bhog will be held in Toronto and details will be shared.

Thank you to the staff at Grace Hospital that made Mom comfortable in her final days and to the family and friends who travelled from near and far to say goodbye.
