OBITUARY

Henry Loewen Friesen

30 April, 1941 – 19 March, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Thomson In The Park Funeral Home and Cemetery

Always In Our Hearts

Henry Loewen Friesen was born April 30, 1941 to William and Helena Friesen in Morris, Manitoba. He went to meet his Lord and saviour at 11:25 am on March 19, 2025. Papa as everyone called him passed peacefully in his home at 83 years of age and will be greatly missed by his family and devoted caregivers. He is survived by his daughter Angela Husmann( nee Friesen), son in law Wade Husmann, grandchildren Phillip Derald, James Henry, Mariah Dawn and Luke Daniel.

Papa was predeceased by his only son Henry Jr. and the "Love of his Life", Donna Marie Friesen (nee Pukalo). They were married for a few days short of 54 years at the time of her passing in 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Papa moved to Mexico in his early years with his family and was raised in a Mennonite colony. Colony life did not always suit Papa, but he did make the most important decision of his life as a result of his church upbringing and that was to accept Jesus into his heart. His adult life was spent in Manitoba where he moved back to on his own at 20 yrs old. Wilf and Elma Neufeld (nee Eidse) were Henry's cousins and took him in when he came to Canada. We thank them for their Love, as they gave him a chance to become who he was meant to be which was a very successful businessman, husband and father of two, grandfather of four. His life was turbulent at times, peaceful at others, but his faith and prayer carried him through to the end. Papa was at peace with his life and ready to go home to Jesus.

We will deeply miss his smile, his sense of humor and the " I love you's" he doled out generously to his family and those he deeply cared for. We Love you Papa and look forward to joining you and Nana when our time comes.
