Jean Guenther passed away on November 22, 2012 at the Grace Hospital.
She was born on March 29, 1931 in the Turtle Mountain district in Manitoba.
Jean was married to Peter Guenther in 1949. They were blessed with three wonderful children who are now left to mourn her passing. Daughter Barbara (Larry) Clement of Elie, Manitoba, sons Jerry (Maria) Guenther of Winnipeg, and Thomas (Carol) Guenther of Medicine Hat, Alberta, along with five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Jean worked 17 years for Canada Packers and then went back to school at Success Commercial College. Upon completion of her course she went to work for the Bank of Commerce in Calgary and then later for the Bank of Montreal Data Centre in Winnipeg. She loved seniors, so in her later years she worked with them as a cook.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard with viewing one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1P6 or the charity of your choice.
