He leaves behind to mourn his beloved wife Eileen; daughters Janet Taylor (Jake), Jennifer (Jason) King; grandchildren Joel (Taylor), Jada, Gus, Flynn, Owen, Greyson; sister Joyce Dickens of Regina, Saskatchewan; sister in law Helen-Anne of Panama City Beach, Florida, along with many other sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary Bruhart (née Bohonus), his twin brother Joe and stepson Robert.
Dad was known for his smile, gregarious nature, meticulous dressing and his love of storytelling. Whether you knew him growing up in the North End, his days playing hockey or tossing cards at the Polish Club he was always up for a good time. Maybe you were lucky enough to have swung a club with him at Elmhurst, or thrown a rock at The Granite, or maybe shared a drink or two at The Keg, our dad made you feel you had a friend for life. His job was a sense of pride, where he was always highly regarded. Many of his long-lasting relationships were formed throughout his career in sales.
We will cherish a lifetime of fond memories that we have of dad. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
A Memorial Reception will take place on Friday, April 21st between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Deer Lodge, West Unit on floor 6, for their kindness and care of our father.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
