On August 11, 2026, Kathy peacefully passed away at the age of 85.
She will sadly be missed and loved forever, by her husband of 53 years, Ken, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was born May 31, 1940, in Kyiv (Kieve) Ukraine. Her parents and her sister moved to Winnipeg in 1952.
Her favorite time of year was Ukrainian Christmas; cooking up a feast for everyone making all the Ukrainian dishes. When you became a new member to the family, you had to learn to acquire the taste for Kutia. Even if you just put it to your mouth, you had to eat some. That was her rule and you had to follow it.
She always thought of others before she thought of herself. She was caring, loving and had her way of dealing with things.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
