Kendall Noelle Hofer
September 13, 2019 – January 2, 2020
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our sweet baby, Kendall Noelle Hofer on January 2, 2020. Kendall will be lovingly remembered by parents Tyler and Amanda Hofer; grandparents Ken and Edna Hofer, Alex and Ruth Harder; aunts and uncles Angela (Chris), Kelsey (Reegan), Brian (Rebecca), Jessica (Darwin) and Rachel (Cameron) as well as her six cousins Blake, Leanne, Alison, Hope, Nevaeh and Delyric. Kendall is predeceased by cousin, Melody Hallett and Oma, Adel Metzker.
Kendall was born by emergency c-section prematurely on Friday, September 13, 2019 due to severe preeclampsia. Our 28 week miracle baby began her journey at the Woman’s hospital NICU as a micro preemie weighing 1lb 12oz. The nurses called her feisty one. Some of her obstacles included jaundice, Group B strep, Sepsis, seizures, multiple blood transfusions, collapsed lung, periventricular leucomalacia (PVL) and complications with formula; she overcame them all! Kendall achieved many milestones and exceeded doctor’s expectations. She flourished to 5lbs, 5oz and was so close to coming home. Unexpectedly, at 111 days old (3 months and 3 weeks) Kendall’s heart stopped beating in mom and dad’s arms.
The Viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 14 at 6pm at Klassen Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 15 at 10am at the Church of Pine Ridge, located at the corner of Garven rd. and Hwy 207. She will be buried at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. in the Infant Garden.
