She was predeceased by her husband Gabe, and son James. Margaret will be missed by her children and spouses – Robert (Chloe), Marjorie (Wayne), Donald (Sheryn), David (Wendy), Kenneth (Marianne), and daughter in law Leanne. She will also be missed by her 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grand Children, Sisters Alice Overwater and Irene Overwater, Brother Gerry Van Wynsberghe (Lorraine), and nieces and nephews.
Margaret grew up on a dairy farm in Tuxedo. She married Dad in 1947 and they moved to the farm in Fort Whyte. There they farmed and raised their family. In 1992 Mom left the farm and moved to a condo in Fort Garry.
Mom liked to knit and she knitted many sweaters for her children, grandchildren and others. Mom and Dad were both members of the Belgian Club.
Service will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at Thomson “In the Park”, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Poseidon Care Centre for the excellent care and compassion given to Margaret for the past 3 years.
