It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Wiens (nee Guenther) at the age of 96 years at the St. Boniface hospital.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, and husband Jake (2012), 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Born in Morden and raised on a farm eventually moving to Wpg. To work. She married Jake Wiens in 1947. They lived in Wpg. for 2 years before moving to Carman where they farmed until 1973. They retired from farming and moved to Wpg. where she worked as a maid until 1982 when she retired.

She loved her gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and in later years she loved her puzzles.

Her children would like to thank all the staff at Lindenwood Terrace as well as the staff at St. Boniface hospital for all of their excellent care.

Am sorry to hear of Aunt Margaret's passing. She was always the most welcoming person. As a city kid, appreciated her allowing me to collect eggs with her - from REAL chickens! When I picture your mom, I think of her opening the door and beckoning us inside, of her homemade deliciousness, and just knowing we were welcome any time. Your mom knew how to say, "I love you" without ever having to say the words. Her actions said it all, all of the time. Fondly remembered.
(I now live out of province and am unable to attend the service. Would have loved the opportunity to reconnect with all of you. Warm hugs.)
Much Love,
Colleen Loewen, Agnes's granddaughter
