
Peacefully, on May 24, 2025 Marguerite passed away at the age of 97 at the West Park Manor.
She is survived by her brother Graham Eagleton (Margo) nephews, Ross Eagleton (Pam) Alan Eagleton (Christine) and nieces Nichole Lewis-Oakes (Jeffrey) and Noelle Lewis (Ken Hinga) and many great nieces and nephews.
Marguerite was predeceased by her parents Irene and Leigh Eagleton, her brother Mack Eagleton (Toni), sister Florence Lewis (Roscoe) and nephew Leigh Eagleton (Phyllis).
Marguerite was born in Winnipeg and attended school in Kenora and Winnipeg. She also attended Success Business College. She worked for Oldfield, Kirby and Gardner and then joined the Federal Government. She was an Excise Tax Officer while working for the Customs and Excise Branch for 37 years retiring in 1985. After retirement she volunteered at the Manitoba Crafts Guild.
Marguerite was a member of the Wildwood Club acting on many committees and as Chairperson of the Ladies Golf & Curling Section. She enjoyed a passion for both curling and for golf. She enjoyed many golf trips to Spain, New Zealand and Australia. She also was a member of All Saints Church.
A special thank you to West Park Manor for taking such good care of “Mimi” the last three years. A private service will take place at a later date.
