She will be sadly missed by husband Jack (of 69 years); daughters Diane (Peter) and Lorraine; grandson Adam (Kristy); and friends.
Marilyn attended Daniel McIntyre High School where she met her lifelong girlfriends.
She met the love of her life Jack at a barbeque in Wildwood Park where they later purchased their one and only home. After having a family Marilyn went to work at the U of M until her retirement. She then took on the role of caregiver for her three aunts.
Marilyn’s great joys were spending time with family and friends, having “the gang“ over for dinner and going to Brereton Lake for the weekend and seeing the neighbours.
She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, enjoyed walking, and having lunch with her Wildwood friends. Later in life, Marilyn took up bowling again and won many trophies.
Marilyn’s last few years were spent at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. We want to thank all the staff for being so kind and caring.
No formal service will be held.
Special thanks to long-time family friends Lois and Gordie Johnson for their frequent visits which Marilyn greatly appreciated.
