(Mary) Margaret Crawford Wiebe

(nee Young)

Peacefully on July 29, Margaret Wiebe, of Winnipeg, widow of Henry Wiebe.

Born in Toronto on March 25, 1917, Margaret was the youngest daughter of Crawford and Mary (Polly) Young. Margaret spent much of her childhood and adult life in Scotland where the family originated. She crossed the Atlantic several times before settling in Winnipeg, where in 1963, she met and married Henry. Margaret and Henry enjoyed travelling and relaxing at “WieSunbury”, their summer cottage in Sandy Hook.

Margaret was predeceased by Henry in 1983 and her sister, Anne Bauer in 1991.

She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, nephews Stuart Bauer (Laurie), Carl Bauer (Jill), and niece Shirley McLean, and their children, as well as many friends and relatives.

Special thanks go to the staff of the Maples Personal Care Home for their care and support.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6 at Thomson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to a charity of their choice.
