It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Turner, on August 23, 2022 at the Pine Falls Hospital after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rebecca (Aaron), Reena (John) and Elizabeth (Mike). Her grandchildren, Tyler, Josie, Olivia, Quinn, Natalie, Nicole, Dylan, Camryn, Auston and Kennedy. Sisters, Ann (Chuck) and Judith (Colin), numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her Parents Rev. Canon Warren and Dorothy Turner and her sister Fran.
Mary was born in Calgary, Alberta, the third of four daughters to Warren and Dorothy. As a child, her family relocated to Ontario, where her family moved between small towns and eventually settled in Toronto. She spent her career working as an early childhood educator, and ultimately, starting and running her own daycare centre.
Mary loved spending time at her farm property, in Madoc, Ontario, which is where she moved upon her retirement. She eventually moved to Manitoba to be closer to her daughter, Rebecca, and her grandchildren.
As per Mary’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date next Summer.
Many thanks to the staff at Pine Falls Hospital for their care and comfort. Also, her neighbours in Beaconia, for all the assistance and support they provided over the years.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.thomsoninthepark.com for the TURNER family.
