Dear Ted and family - our heartfelt condolences go out to you all.  I've thought of Moyra every day, and struggled to find words to tell you what she meant to me and how much I will miss her.  I had the good fortune to meet her because of the time she served as an appointment to the LPN Council, and she became not only a mentor but a very treasured friend.  Although I will always wish I'd had more time and opportunity to see her since I left Winnipeg, I will forever be thankful for the richness of her ongoing friendship.  Although our time together was limited, she was on my short list of Very Special People and I will never stop missing her.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to you, who must miss her even more.

There are those whose lives
Death cannot diminish,
Their presence radiates forever
in the hearts of friends and loved ones ... and their light shines on in the lives they've touched for so many years.

Dear Ted

Thinking of you and remembering all the happy times you, Moyra, Ian and I shared: Wendigo excursions, New Year's Eve skating parties, just visiting.  Such good memories. 

Moyra was a great lady and I know how sad you must be to lose her. But how else could it be after 71 years together?

Acceptance and peace does come...in time. That's my wish for you.

Dear Mr. Longstaffe and family. I give my deepest condolences for your loss. I only met Maureen the first day she moved to St. Norbert PCH this Dec. past.  She sat a my dad's dinner table.  Coincidentally I saw Dr. Bert for the first time 3 days earlier.  Maureen and I spent over an hour talking about the past and her son, my new orthopedic surgeon, and her husbands artistic skills etc.  What an incredibly interesting and dynamic lady.  Incredibly caring too.  At the end of our visit she insisted that I call up Dr. Bert's office and tell them that she wanted me to get the soonest possible date for my surgeries.  Though my knowing her was short, I realise that I had met one of those trully "special" people that are so far and few in life. Again my sympathies for your loss.

Dear Mr. Longstaffe and family, it is with saddness that we read about the loss of your lovely wife... We helped you when you were still in your home and found you both to be wonderful and caring people. You are both missed. We also had the pleasure of introducing you to our daughter, Marisa, when we adopted her. You made her a family from wood and Moyra gave us a beautiful hand made card.  Again, to you and your families, please accept our deepest sympathy.
