

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Melita “Mely”, who peacefully entered eternal rest on December 27, 2025. Born on April 27, 1940, Melita lived a life rooted in love, compassion, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her kindness and generosity touched everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of many.
Melita was the beloved daughter of Victoriano Bumacod and Maria Bumacod, and the wife of Cirilo Corpuz, who has also passed away. She built a life defined by strength, resilience, and selfless love that continue to live on through her children and grandchildren. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit remains alive in the memories she created and the countless lives she touched.
She is lovingly survived by her children and their spouses: Marcelo Corpuz; Marcos Corpuz (Marissa); Marites Corpuz (Leroy Anderson); and Venus Sidhu (JP Sidhu). Melita was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ejay, Micheal, Logan, Asia, DJ, Brendan Corpuz, Maria Michaela, Jaden Corpuz, Kendrick Anderson, Kiyan Sidhu. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Zenaida Aquino; Avelina Dela Rosa; Aurelia (Per); Tita (Fred); Lydia Orpilla (Francisco); Lorenza Palazo; Norma Labaniego; Amy Velano (Gerardo) all of whom will forever cherish her memory and the lessons she shared.
Melita’s love for Jesus and the Catholic Church was central to her life and was reflected in her deep devotion to her family and friends. She had a rare gift of making people feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved, one of her most cherished and lasting legacies.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care, compassion, and kindness during her time there. A special thank you to Dr. Harris for his exceptional care and support. Thank you as well to all family and friends who visited, supported, and cared for her. Your presence and love meant more than words can express.
