Michael Ian Hoffer was a skilled pilot, successful entrepreneur, fearless adventurer, loving, adoring and amazing husband and father and a gentle brother, uncle and friend. Above all, Michael was an inspiration of kindness, patience and unconditional love, always bringing out the best in people.
Michael was born in Winnipeg and lived his life to the very fullest between Winnipeg, Lake of the Woods, Montreal and Jamaica.
As an extraordinary business man, following in the footsteps of his father, Michael was excellent in achieving his enterprise goals. He launched groundbreaking, water purification services with WaterMart, built his latest venture LED Outdoor Advertising, and grew AirPark for over 25 years in Winnipeg.
Michael created the perfect world for himself and those close to him balanced with his love for flying, scuba, fishing, mountains, music, felines, and many quiet moments in the sun with his coffee and favourite war novel in hand; all of the things he loved woven between his three true loves, Hélène, Vanessa and Ilyse.
Our dearly beloved husband and father, Michael, took his last flight into a beautiful, clear blue sky at 5:30pm on March 2nd, just as the sun began to set.
Our General fought hard, never backing down.
Michael is predeceased by his mother Ethel (Rabinovitch) and father Ephriam Hoffer. He leaves behind his wife Hélène (Levac) Hoffer, his twin daughters Vanessa and Ilyse Hoffer, his cats Aurora, Anna and Maxie. He also leaves behind the large, loving Hoffer, Levac and Rabb families as well as many loyal friends. This is a sudden, devastating and unexpected loss for us all.
A Come and Go Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at Niakwa Country Club, 620 Niakwa Road.
Thank you to all of our family and friends for your endless support during this difficult time.
