Olga was born in Petershagen, Russia. In 1957 Olga and her family immigrated to Canada from the jungles of Paraguay.
Olga later met and married Albert Dwolinski and they had 3 sons. They lived in a one room cabin on Albert's grain farm in Fisher Branch. They had a wood stove inside. The washroom was an outhouse outside. Beside that was a table with a bowl on it and a hand pump.
When they moved to Winnipeg, Olga worked at CKY television studios doing housekeeping. Later her sister Kathleen-Ruth (Helga) and son Larry would work with her. Olga also worked at the Western Canada Lottery Corporation doing housekeeping.
Olga's greatest joy was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great granddaughter, friends and extended family.
Laughter filled the rooms whenever we all gathered for family meals, holidays and playing cards and games.
Olga loved spending time at their cabin at Hillside Beach. Many hours were spent fishing, gardening, blueberry and mushroom picking, playing cards, games, going to the beach, relaxing by sitting on the deck or by the fire pit. Olga was especially skilled at chasing deers, skunks and bears away from the yard by swinging her broom at them.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd on Friday, June 16th at 10:00am.
