Mrs. Olga Weiss

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom on July 8, 2021 at Concordia Place Personal Care Home. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Margit (Ron), Ingrit (Tony), and Angelica; grandchildren David, Daniel, Amanda, Adam, Ashley and Meghan; great grandchildren Renata, Karek, Damon, Stefen and Carrie.

She was predeceased by her son Hubert in 1999, husband Karl in 2000 and son in law Michael in 2006.

Mom’s focus in life was her family and she made alot of sacrifices to give us a better life. We are blessed with many fond memories and treasure them all. She loved music and dancing, her toe tapping to the polkas and waltzes we played. An accomplished seamstress, our wardrobes as children were entirely handmade by her. As were each of our bridesmaids dresses, an unbelievable talent. With her quiet personality and wonderful sense of humour she was the backbone of our family. She taught us so much whether it was sewing, crocheting or how to use a chainsaw, we will miss her guiding hand and encouraging smile. The last four years of mom’s life was difficult dealing with dementia but her beautiful smile never wavered. Nor did her toe tapping.

In keeping with mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private internment will be held at a later date.
