Compassionate man with a heart of gold.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Owen Barry Taylor after a courageous battle with COPD.

He leaves to mourn his loving family, daughter Amanda, son Todd, grandchildren Amy, Nathan, Wayne, Miley, Zoe, Derek and Heaven. Devoted brother Pat and sister in laws Louise, Jan, and Eileen (Dan) Nieces Shauna, Mackenzie, Mackayla, Shelley, Tammy (Jeremy),Wanda (Brad) and Nephews Mike (Sandra) and Cleve, along with many friends and relatives.

He’s predeceased by his father Wilfred, mother Bertha, brothers Murray, Glen and nephew Nathan.

Owen was born and raised in Winnipeg. He grew up in the north end on Airlies street where he made many lifelong friends. He later moved to Sinclair where he made more friends.

Owen was a compassionate man with a heart of gold. He was always so generous and cared for everyone. He had a great sense of humour, even during his difficult times. All who knew him loved him dearly and he will be sorely missed.

A celebration of Owen’s life will be held on a later date.

Our family would like to thank home care, cancer care and all the doctors and nurses for their support over the years.

It must be more than 20 years ago that we took Fred (Bertha brother) and Sybil Alan's parents to Winnipeg to stay with Bertha & Owen for a month.

Were we 1st met Owen, he was such a character and so generous and really looked after us. We found him to be a lovely character.

We will all miss him dearly in our hearts.

All our love to the family, such a shame that we live so far apart as we would love to be there with you in these day's of sadness.

All our love Alan and Alison xx
