While nursing in Toronto, she was invited to a party where she first met my dad, Bill. He made quite the negative impression.
He managed to change her mind after he found out she also worked p/t as a ticket girl at a movie house. In order to gain a positive opinion from her, he inflated the box office of Ben-Hur 26 times. Finally he got a date with her.
Fast Forward
In July 1963, she decided to join him on adventures that seen them travel from Montreal to Vancouver and everywhere in between.
The early 70's seen them settle in Perrault Falls, Ontario after adopting their daughter, Patty.
Pat and Bill joined forces and built a family business and Post Office.
When Bill, after 57 years of marriage, had to move with his Lord and Saviour in 2020, Pat was moved into Pinecrest home for the Aged. She had alzehimers and dementia. It was there she passed away with her daughter by her side.
Her wishes were not to have a funeral or celebration of life.
If so choosing, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in her memory.
