It is with deep sorrow that the family of Peter Yakimoski announces his peaceful passing on November 15, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born in Ituna, Saskatchewan, on July 11, 1933, Peter was the son of Andrew and Eva Yakimoski and grew up in a bustling home with nine siblings. His childhood on the family farm was filled with laughter, hard work, and strong family bonds.
Peter married Darlene Kaufhold on January 12, 1957, and together they built a loving home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Their family grew to include six children: Sheryl, Anna, Andrew, Randy, Elaine, and Kevin. Peter started out alongside his brother Mike in the sheet metal trade until becoming a self-employed HVAC contractor.
He enjoyed summer road trips to Saskatchewan to visit family and reminiscing of the good old days.
Family was Peter’s greatest joy. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, never missing a chance to play or share in their laughter. His pride in his family was evident in everything he did.
Peter was always hospitable and welcoming towards everyone, making gatherings memorable.
He will be deeply missed and forever celebrated as a man who lived well and loved deeply.
