It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rachel (Ray) Nicole Ens in her home on May 27, 2026, following a lengthy illness.
Rachel will be profoundly missed by her mom Frieda Ens, dad William Ens, and brothers Jeremy and Michael Ens.
She was predeceased by her Oma and Opa Thiessen and Grandma Ens.
Our deepest gratitude to her caregiver Jen, who brought joy to Ray’s days at home in the last weeks since she was discharged from the hospital this last round. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Whetter who never stopped believing in Rachel and treated her with respect and care for Rachel as a person. Thank you to Dr. Sheperdticky, who fought for Rachel to have the surgery and to Dr. Hochman for doing the extremely complicated surgery which gave all of us a chance to enjoy more time with Rachel.
We thank everyone for the continued support during the years of Ray’s struggle with Crohn’s. In love, we leave her in peace. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
A Come and Go Celebration of Rachel's life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday June 13 at Green Acres Funeral Home. A brief formal program will start at 2:00 PM with open mic, light faspa and fellowship to follow.
