Those who remember Uncle Renato
repeat the same beautiful words to describe him
“compassionate”, “gentle”, “caring”,
and “patient”

As a kid in the Bince family,
with all our funny ways and unexplainable antics,
i don’t initially think to describe us as “patient”…

but this is exactly what Uncle Renato gave our family.
He was a gentle foundation to lean on by his
loving wife, our Aunty Pinang,
his loving kids Wowie and Rex,
his loving daughter-in -law Charlene, and
his precious grandchildren Chayse and Carys.

Those that have memories with our Uncle Renato
remember how he strummed his guitar and sang
under the sun in Pangasinan,
how he would tell to give others the gift of
lightness and laughter, or even
how he taught my mom how to first drive a car.

I am grateful that in my last trip to Winnipeg in 2019,
my ading Tim and I got to visit Uncle Renato.
I won’t ever forget the immediate calmness
and love that i felt when I was around him
and I wish I could go back and give him a hug.
His very nature was medicine.

The name “Renato” means
rebirth, reborn, to rise again.

We will always remember your gentle spirit Uncle Renato.
We love you.

Sending our comfort, thoughts, and prayers as you grieve and heal,
Kim, Tim, Racquel, Eugenia

My brother-in-law Manong Renato was such a loving father, grandfather, and husband to my sister Rufina. He was deeply loved and respected by my father Tatang Ecco and mother Inang Jasmin. He was such a kind uncle to his nieces and nephews, and he was a caring soul to all who knew him. Whenever we would come to visit, he would always be the one to open his doors, always the one cooking delicious meals for the entire family.

One of my fondest memories with Manong Renato was back when I was 20 years old, newly immigrated to Canada, and he was my driving instructor. He taught me with a sense of humour and a sense of calm that kept me so assured and at ease on those Winnipeg roads. He was such a good instructor that I passed the test on the very first take.

We will miss his smiles, his laughs, and his humble & gentle nature. He will remain in our thoughts and in our hearts, until we reunite again. Sending all of our deepest condolences, prayers, and hugs to the family.

With Love, Eniang and Children Racquel, Kimberly, and Timothy

Renato (Rene) was a good, loving, compassionate father, and a devoted husband to Rufina Bince-Bambalan. We were neighbors for many years. We used to go out fishing together. At home during his spare time he plays guitar and also sings in Pangasinan. He will be missed by his whole family and a number of good friends. We love you "Pare Rene". Your life was a blessing to all of us. May you rest in God's eternal resting place. The Vinluans (Rolando, David, Paul & Family), Winnipeg, MB., Ottawa, On., Canada
