Rita was predeceased by her first husband Donat Stanley Brasseur, her second husband Arthur Thornton and her granddaughter Crystal. Rita is survived by her sons Roger Brasseur (Joan), Mike Brasseur (Sharron) and Gilbert Brasseur (Donna); her grandchildren Russell, Rachelle Lamb (Christopher), Sarah, Joseph (Tara), Nicole and Jason; her great-grandchildren Makaylah and Conner; her brother Gerard Marion (Therese); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rita was a woman of hope. She fought the good fight and kept the faith. She is now at peace with god.
As per Rita’s wishes, a private cremation and memorial service will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at River Park Gardens for their kindness and care during Rita’s time there.
