Born Rose Lukas on the family farm near Esterhazy, SK, she moved to Kenora as a young bride, then to Winnipeg, making her home in Norwood for 67 years. Rose was a stay at home mom, devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved her home and gardening and she was an active member of the Holy Cross CWL. An avid Blue Bomber and Winnipeg Jets fan, she also enjoyed old movies, particularly those with James Stewart! Rose was a notorious Scrabble player and famous for her Kolachy (Slovak sweet buns). She truly was well liked by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by sons: Bryan (Barb), Mel (Kym), daughters: Joyce (Colin), Eileen; grandchildren: Danny (Joralyn), Tim, Laura; nieces & nephews: Rosemarie, Stan, Joan, Francine, Marlon, Michelle & Terry.
She is predeceased by husband of 69 years Jerry, four brothers & wives: John (Mary), George (Jessie), Stan (Corinne), Frank (Gladys) AND many friends.
