Born August 21, 1938 in Ethan, South Dakota, she was the firstborn daughter of Christian and Rebecca Tschetter.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 58 years, David Z. Hofer, four sons, David Jr. (Colleen), William (Ewa), Isaac (Monica), Mark (Jodi) Hofer, and one daughter, Sharyn O’Connor, seven grandchildren, Riley (Maggie), Karly and Quinn O’Connor (Charlcie), Matt, Jordan, Zak and Colten Hofer, six brothers, three sisters, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Sarah was predeceased by her parents, sister Annie Waldner and grandson Jordan Hofer.
Sarah enjoyed her work as a personal caregiver to elderly couples, many of whom became lifelong friends. She took pleasure in all life had to offer and lived with unwavering faith, passion for her family, a generous spirit and a unique sense of humor.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital, Deer Lodge Centre and West Park Manor for their loving care and concern.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Grace Christian Church, 50 Barnes Street, in Winnipeg.
Memorial donations can be made in Sarah’s name to West Park Manor.
