Sheila was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she spent her entire life serving her community with dedication and compassion. She graduated from Daniel McIntyre High School and went on to pursue her calling in healthcare, graduating from The Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. In 1960, she married Bob Lee and in 1962 welcomed their son Robert.
Following her nursing career, Sheila transitioned into public health nursing, where she enjoyed a very long and successful career with the Province of Manitoba. In her later years, Sheila found her greatest joy in her role as grandmother. She took immense pride in watching her grandchildren pursue their dreams – often seen cheering on her granddaughter Kiana as a professional cheerleader and following her grandson Keegan's achievements as an elite hockey player. Her support and pride in their professional careers and accomplishments brought her immense joy.
Sheila is lovingly remembered by her son Robert, her siblings Carol, Dick (Joanne), Wayne (Linda), and Brenda, and her cherished grandchildren Kiana and Keegan. She is now reunited with her parents and siblings who passed before her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, a woman whose infectious spirit was matched only by her elegance and class.
In accordance with Sheila's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Those wishing to honor her memory may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
