Shyam moved to Winnipeg in 1961 as a Veterinarian. He completed his Masters in Animal Nutrition at the University of Manitoba. He married Sushma in 1967. Together they had two children, Shaun and Seema. For 35 years he molded, shaped and grew Feed-Rite Inc. retiring as a controlling partner and Vice President. He had visited every continent except Australia in his travels.
Shyam was a man of high integrity, deeply respected but fun, loving and humble. He was deeply loved by all that knew him.
If he was not golfing at Niakwa Country Club, he was voraciously reading.
He is survived by his wife Sushma; son Shaun MD (Camille) and their children Ella and Daniel; daughter Seema Attorney at Law (Mathew) and their children Shay and Ashwin; siblings Raj, Kanta and Vijay.
A private family service will be held.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Hindu Temple, 999 St. Anne’s Road.
