

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Lueck in her sleep at Luther Home.
She leaves to mourn one son Glen Lueck and wife Joy, 3 grandchildren Justin and wife Kaylee Lueck, Kyle Lueck and Brittney Lueck and fiancé Brett, and 1 great grandchild Everlee Lueck.
Vera was predeceased by her husband Edmund, her mother Alma Politz, her sister Jean and husband Paul Skutshek, and her brother Leo Politz and his wife Traute.
Vera was born in Wiesenthal, Ukraine. In 1952, Vera and her siblings came to Winnipeg, Manitoba. She went to school and learned English. She got a job at Canada Packers on the packing line and worked there for 20 years.
In 1959 she met Edmund Lueck and they were married in 1960.
In May of 1961 her son Glen was born. From 1967 to 1984 she lived in Garden City with Ed, Glen and her mother Alma. In 1984 they moved to Birdshill, East St. Paul until the passing of Ed in 1994.
Vera lived her final days at Luther Home on Andrews St. The family wishes to thank the staff at Luther Home for the great care she received.
There will be a celebration of life and interment on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home and Brookside Cemetery.
